Anti-aging serum

Hyaluronic acid is a popular ingredient in topical beauty products, such as moisturizers and makeup, as well. One of the substance's features is that it draws moisture from the air and is said to hold up to 1, 000 times its weight in water.

Picture your dermis, that layer if inner tissue beneath the surface (or epidermis) of your skin, as a sponge. The solid parts of that sponge are the collagen and elastin fibres that form the supporting matrix of the skin, and the spaces within the sponge are where the skin’s gel-like hyaluronic acid sits. Obviously, if you can pack those spaces with more water-rich hyaluronic acid your skin will have a fuller, firmer, more youthful appearance.

Why You Should Go Lymphatic Drainage Treatment

I've seen so many clients having problem with swollen and/or edema somewhere on their body parts!

Here are why you have it, a lots of time cause by stress and low metabolism and more reasons.

But i would like you to know about what lymph does to your body and why we need to take care. Hope you understand lymph!

Lymph is a clear to yellowish watery fluid that is found throughout the body. It circulates through body tissues picking up fats, bacteria, and other unwanted materials, and filtering them out through the lymphatic system. It is sometimes possible to see this fluid; cuts sometimes weep it rather than blood, for example. Its circulation through the body is an important part of immune system health.

This fluid contains white blood cells, known as lymphocytes, along with a small concentration of red blood cells and proteins. It circulates freely through the body, bathing cells in needed nutrients and oxygen while it collects harmful materials for disposal. People can think of it as the milkman of the body, dropping off fresh supplies and picking up discarded bottles for processing elsewhere.
As lymph circulates, it is pulled into the lymphatic system, an extensive network of vessels and capillaries that is linked to lymph nodes, small nodules that act as filters to trap unwanted substances. The nodes also produce more white blood cells, refreshing the fluid before it is pumped back into the body.

The fluid may not be as showy as blood, but it is related to an equally complex and ornate system of vessels. Without a pump, the body’s lymphatic system must depend on motion (exercise and/or massage) to propel lymph through its vessels.

Lymphatic massage is rigorous to the client as the therapist has to virtually squeeze lymph through the lymphatic pathways, So After a treatment you may feel extremely tired and have no energy. This is because after the treatment your body is still working hard at cleaning itself.
You could feel like this for a few days or up to 2 weeks depending on how much your body needed to be cleaned out. However, once this step is over you should have more energy than before the treatment. It is very important to drink lot’s of water after a treatment to aid the flushing process.

Reasons to go for Lymphatic Draining

Detoxifying: Lymphatic draining rids the body of all the “garbage” that we can stock in it and can be very beneficial for those doing a detox program. It’s also good for helping us to lose weight or getting rid of cellulite.

Immune Boost: Lymphatic draining is good for making our immune systems stronger. If you are always sick with colds, flues or infections like a urinary tract infection it would be a good treatment for you. It can also help allergy sufferers and ease their symptoms. I recommend that you have a these treatments before the cold and allergy season in order to make your lymphatic system stronger and possibly avoid these problems.

Cell Regeneration: Working on the lymphatic system helps our cells to regenerate. So if you are scarred in any way or had a surgery it is very effective for re-building tissue.

Cancer: Lymphatic draining is good for cancer because it can reduce the lymphoedema they might have. The therapist will work on the swollen areas in order to move the liquids that are trapped in certain areas. It is important that patient have the approval of their doctor and that the therapist they choose is properly trained for this.

Drink Water = Beautiful Skin Here is WHY!

Water primarily stimulates the circulation of blood, fluids, and the necessary elements inside our body.

Additionally, it also controls and regulates the skin's natural balance.

When water is warm, it has the power to hydrate, revitalize, detoxify, and oxygenate the skin.

Warm water also gets rid of blackheads and makes large pores smaller.

Drinking water makes the body more relaxed and invigorated.

It also replaces the moisture lost due to everyday activities.

Simply put, these are all the benefits of drinking water for skin.

Please drink water a lot(^0^)

Food and Beauty Connection!

A recent study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology showed turmeric
(a flavor enhancing ingredient used in dishes) hydrated and provided
photo-protective properties when applied topically to photo-damaged skin.
When this extract-enriched cream was used over 6 weeks,
researchers found significant improvements in sebum production and hydration
on the treated skin.
They concluded that turmeric should be considered in topical formulations for
photo-protection and skin rejuvenation benefits.
Turmeric Curcuma longa, a perennial herb, is a member of the Zingiberaceae (ginger) family.
When dried, turmeric is the ingredient that gives curry powder its characteristic yellow color.
It has long been used in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine as an anti-inflammatory
and liver protectant agent. More recently, turmeric’s antioxidant properties have
been of interest within skin nutrition research (both orally and topically).
For the skin, the combined antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric
make this flavor enhancing ingredient one I plan to include more often in my
dietary and beauty regimen!

Facial Massage & Lymph

Disease organisms enter the body through the mouth, nose, eyes and ears.
You can be exposed to airborne diseases or diseases that you pick up by touching a contaminated surface and then touching your face.
You can also be exposed to disease-causing organisms through your food and drink.
Your body has an amazing built-in defense system called the lymphatic system, and your face and neck are richly supplied with lymph vessels and nodes.

Lymph drainage massage stimulates the immune system and moves stagnant tissue fluid into the lymphatic vessels, where it is transported through the lymph nodes and purified by lymphocytes. The slow, gentle, repetitive movements reduce the body's fight-or-flight response to stress, which causes the body to tense and produce hormones and chemicals for defense. Lymph massage puts your body into a parasympathetic state, which slows the heart rate and breathing, relaxes muscles and allows organs to resume normal functioning.

EFFECTS

Lymph drainage massage reduces edema, beautifies the skin, relaxes muscles, enhances the immune system, reduces scar tissue and is deeply relaxing. Because of the structure of the lymphatic system, the body is divided into five functional areas: the head and neck is one section, and the trunk is divided into four sections, each with an attached limb. It takes about an hour to massage each section. So, for instance, if there is swelling in the right leg due to an injury, it would take about an hour to massage the right lower quadrant of the trunk and the right leg.

FACE MASSAGE

Unless there is an injury or edema that needs attention, the most important area to massage is the face. Not only does disease enter the body through the eyes, nose and mouth, but also the complexion is exposed to the elements, which can cause damage. Hormone fluctuations can cause puffiness, and poor cellular nutrition can make the skin appear unhealthy. Lymph massage addresses all these issues.

CONSIDERATIONS

Lymph drainage massage is very light, gentle and strictly paced. It does not use long strokes, heavy pressure or rapid movements such as percussion, and it is never painful. You should look for a massage therapist who has had advanced training in lymph drainage massage. Your therapist should ask about your health history, since lymph drainage massage is not appropriate for patients with heart, kidney or liver failure, or anyone who has an infection or open wounds or sores on the skin. If you are being treated for a serious illness such as cancer or diabetes, ask your physician if this type of massage is advisable.

PROCEDURE

Lymph massage follows a strict pattern. Your therapist should massage the lymph nodes in the neck first, and then massage the whole neck. Second, your massage therapist will massage the lymph nodes in the face and then she will massage your face and scalp. At the end of the massage, he will massage the facial nodes again and then the cervical nodes again, in reverse order. She may use emollients such as moisturizer or massage oil, but it isn't necessary. Sometimes therapists also use warm towels to start the massage, as heat stimulates the flow of lymph.

Re-Balance Therapy can increase lymphocytes by as much as
30% and can increase the flow of lymph by as much as 20times!

Lashing Out!

Discover the income-generating power of eyelash extensions.

In the beauty world, there has always been a focus on the eyes—our “windows to the soul.” Cosmetic chemists, makeup artists, and even dermatologists are constantly working to develop new products and techniques that play up this key feature. While lash growth serums seem to have staying power, and the latest mascaras certainly work wonders, by far the best way to create the length and fullness women want is with professionally applied eyelash extensions.
Unlike lash strips, extensions are applied one at a time to a woman’s natural eyelashes using long-lasting adhesives.
Each set of lashes is completely customizable, as most extension brands offer an enormous range of lengths, colors, and curvatures. Spa-goers can swim, shower, and exercise with the lashes, and most women find they don’t even need eye makeup when the extensions are applied, which saves them time, too. “It’s a wonderful service to uplift your look without drastic procedures or injectables,” says Jessica Babcock, head of education and training at Reese Robert Beauty.
While Hollywood was the first to embrace extensions—starlets sport them on red carpets and at photo shoots—their popularity has since trickled down to the mainstream. Today, when most beauty categories are falling flat, false eyelashes are one of the few sectors that continue to grow. Sales of fake lashes grew 6.2 percent from 2009 to 2010, according to Nielsen data.
Yet possibly the best part about lash extensions is that your spa is already set up to offer the service. There’s no need to purchase expensive machinery or upgrade your treatment rooms, as lashes can be applied while a client lies on a massage table. And the low cost of the products and tools used compared to the cost to the consumer for the
service allows for revenue to quickly begin rolling in. “Professionals can add eyelash extensions to their array of existing services and watch their income double right away,” says Faith Kim, global marketing and sales manager for JB Lashes.
Here’s a look at the numbers: Training an esthetician or cosmetologist to apply lash extensions usually costs around $2,000. That typically includes certification for the lash stylist, a starter kit with all the products needed to do hundreds of lash applications, and marketing materials to get your lash business up and running. Most spas and salons currently charge anywhere from $200 to $500 to apply a full set of lashes, which can take anywhere from one to two hours. Clients also need to return to the spa at least once per month for a refill application in order to maintain their lash look. The pros agree that in less than 10 lash applications, you can start seeing a return on your initial investment. “Spas and salons are realizing what a huge opportunity this is to remain profitable during a time when many consumers are starting to see their beauty services as luxuries,” says Jo Mousselli, president of Xtreme Lashes.
With their relatively high cost to the consumer, extensions are certainly a luxury, but one that women increasingly want. “When we ask our students why they decided to invest in extension certification, more than half of them say it is because customers were asking them for the service but going somewhere else to get them done,” says Mary Jane Dana, founder of Lavish Lashes. “They didn’t want to keep losing the business.”
Once a client gets extensions, she is also more likely to return to your spa in order to maintain her investment. “By offering this service, you can attract women to your spa for the lashes, but once they are there, they will want your other services, too,” says Jeannie Owens, founder of Lash Out! spas in California and New Jersey.
It’s important to understand the training and time commitment involved. Applying around 60 lash extensions to each eye can be a tedious, time-consuming process. “There is a long learning process with extensions,” says Owens. And rightfully so, as lash stylists work close to the eye area. Plus, the success of your lash business depends on the quality of the service provided. You’ll never get repeat clients or referrals if women are unhappy with how their lashes are applied or look.
Most lash brands offer initial training sessions that last for one or two days. These startup sessions should include hands-on training and information about the products and tools used, safety instructions, and tips on tailoring lashes. Lash stylists should also learn how to conduct a consultation with clients in order to create the desired lash look and teach clients how to properly care for their lashes. Continuing education is also an important part of the training process. “Applying lash extensions is an art,” says Babcock, which explains why most companies offer more advanced levels of training and certification.
Once you’re ready to offer lash extensions, it’s important to market the service. Word-of-mouth is probably the most effective way. “Applying lashes to employees, friends, and influential women in your community is the best strategy to draw attention to the new service,” says Ali Moon, director of marketing and public relations for NovaLash.
Another marketing strategy: “Require your lash stylist to build his or her own portfolio of before-and-after photos that showcase his or her talent, and then display those images in a digital photo frame along with information about the service in your spa’s reception area,” suggests Dana. Lash extension brands should also provide basic marketing materials that can be displayed.
While offering your service at a reduced price might seem like a good way to entice clients, some promotions may discourage potential clients. “Customers who would typically value the quality of your service and be willing to pay top dollar for it may be turned away if your prices are too low,” says Dana. Instead, try offering the first touchup for free with the purchase of a set of lashes. This will give clients the chance to fall in love with their lashes and ensure they return for future refills.
It can also be helpful to get involved with local bridal events, beauty events, and charity auctions. You could also host a beauty night at your spa and conduct a demonstration of a lash application. Doing demos—or posting a video on your spa’s website of the lashes being applied—can help answer potential client questions. No matter how you introduce women in your community to the world of lash extensions available at your spa, be sure to open their eyes to the beautiful possibilities the service provides.—

THE BEST Medicine...!?

Everyone has heard the old adage,
“Laughter is the best medicine,”
but recent studies have actually
found health benefits in breaking into a fit of giggles.

Laughter has been found to be a mood booster and energy enhancer,
and it can even help toward burning calories.

The details of ways laughter can help you are:

1. Laughing can help increase the release of infection fighting antibodies while also decreasing the creation of cortisol, effectively improving the immune system.

2. People with diabetes have shown lower blood sugar levels after a good laugh.

3. For those with serious pain, ten minutes of laughter has been shown to translate to approximately two hours of pain relief.

4. Because laughter helps relieve anxiety, it can also be helpful as a muscle relaxant. Plus, the physically calming effects of laughter further reduce stress, helping you relax for up to 45 minutes.

5. Ten to fifteen minutes of solid laughter can burn up to 50 calories. This translates into 4.4 pounds a year, so get giggling.

STRESS!!! but Want Healthy SKIN!!

I always recommend to Take a Vitamin B for Stress and Healthy Skin.

Vitamin B complex is a group of vitamins that includes thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, B-6, folate, B-12, pantothenic acid, biotin and choline. Some of the benefits of vitamin B complex supplements include increased energy, improved or more stable moods, healthier skin, hair and eyes. The vitamins are important for proper nervous system and immune system function.

The vitamins from the B complex are useful in the treatment of diabetes because they reduce the cholesterol and blood fat and they should be administered at all times. A person who has diabetes generally loses a large quantity of vitamins of the B complex when going to the bathroom to urinate. Therefore it is recommended to take at least 16000 units of vitamin B complex daily.

The Vitamin B Complex is essential for correct RNA and DNA synthesis and cell reproduction. As our Skin, Hair and Nails are constantly growing and renewing themselves we need the following B vitamins to ensure the good health of these structures - Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B9, Vitamin B12, Biotin and Choline. Deficiencies of any of these B Vitamins can lead to dry, grey skin, dermatitis, wrinkles, acne, rashes, falling hair and weak, splitting nails.

Healthy Skin and Muscle - Through the creation of blood cells to feed your body nutrients and the organization of the nutrients in each of your bodies cells you are able to maintain and increase the youthful vim and vigor in your day to day life. It should be obvious that the health inside your body that you cannot see also affects the health outside your body that you and others can.

Many of the nutrients in B-complex vitamins are present in the same food source. They are abundant in liver and yeast, notably in nutritional yeast. Other natural food sources of vitamin B include bananas, potatoes, chili peppers, lentils, turkey, tuna, and tempeh. Beer is also a good source of B vitamins due to its high yeast content, but this may not be true for filtered beer.

Your body needs to replenish B vitamins daily, so if you do not think you are getting enough of these vitamins from your regular diet, it maybe time to consider taking supplements. Vitamin B supplements can be sold as B-complex vitamins or mixed together with other multivitamins.

Vitamin B deficiency can affect the nerve transmission and proper functioning of the brain. It increases the risk of heart disease. Deficiency of vitamin B12 can lead to the formation of abnormal cells called megaloblasts and result in anemia. It can also cause problems like depression and loss of memory.

There are a number of reasons why many people suffer from a deficiency of this vitamin and a deficiency of the B complex vitamin might lead to a lot of health problems such as chronic exhaustion and fatigue, insomnia, lack of concentration and irritability.
